Two flat-fee plans, two different bets
Relayfy’s Free plan takes no monthly fee and no commission, then puts a 99¢ service fee on the customer for each order after the first C$200 of orders in a month (Relayfy pricing, checked 29 October 2026). Growth removes that fee and costs C$150 a month per location. Both include unlimited pickup, delivery and dine-in QR orders and a long feature list: rewards, gift cards, promo codes, catering scheduling, item inventory controls, AI tools and reporting.
That is a fairer design than a marketplace commission, and the Free plan is genuinely C$0 to a restaurant. The catch is a fee the guest sees at checkout, which is the point where orders get abandoned. Growth removes the fee and, at C$150 a month, costs more than Chefzi’s card plan on every month you would use it.
Where Chefzi is different
Chefzi is one price with nothing added at the door: $17 CAD a month for cash and pickup ordering, or $35 CAD for card payments, per location, with no commission and no customer service fee on either. Card processing goes through your own Stripe account at Stripe’s standard rate, so the money lands in your bank account and the fee is the one Stripe publishes.
Chefzi also sells a POS, kitchen display and order printing, so online orders and counter orders arrive in the same place instead of in two systems. Plans are month-to-month, with discounts on 1-, 2- and 3-year plans. Menu setup and onboarding are free.
Which one fits your restaurant
- Very low volume: on Free, the 99¢ customer fee stays under Chefzi’s $35 only while you take fewer than about 35 orders a month. Below that it is the cheaper option and worth a look.
- Steady volume or a POS to run: past roughly 35 orders a month the 99¢ fee passes $35, and Growth costs C$150, so Chefzi’s flat CAD price covers ordering, POS and kitchen display for less.
- Quebec: ask both about French, and about the sales-recording rules. The Chefzi POS is not certified for Quebec’s MEV-WEB, so a Quebec restaurant keeps a certified system alongside it.
- Either way: ask for the price in writing, ask who owns the customer list, and ask what happens to your menu if you leave.
The one question that decides it
Do you want a fee at the guest’s checkout, or a fixed cost on your own invoice? Relayfy Free chooses the first and Chefzi chooses the second. Both are defensible; they just put the cost in different places.

Frequently asked questions
Is Chefzi cheaper than Relayfy?
It depends on the plan and your volume. Chefzi is $35 CAD a month per location with card payments, or $17 CAD for cash and pickup. Relayfy Free is C$0 a month and adds a 99¢ customer fee after the first C$200 of monthly orders; Relayfy Growth is C$150 a month.
Does Relayfy charge restaurants commission?
No. Relayfy states 0% restaurant commission on both the Free and Growth plans. The Free plan adds a customer service fee of 99¢ per order after the first C$200 of orders in a month.
Can I keep my delivery apps if I move to Chefzi?
Yes. Plenty of restaurants keep Uber Eats and DoorDash for new customers and take their regulars direct. Chefzi can pull Uber Eats and DoorDash orders into the POS so staff stop retyping them.
Does Chefzi have dine-in QR ordering?
Chefzi has table reservations. Ask us about ordering from the table during the demo, and we will tell you what is available for your restaurant.
